Originally from Germany. This is a hardneck variety in the rocambole family. 8-12 cloves per bulb and typically easy to peel. One of the first hardneck varieties to make popularity in the states. Strong, hot and spicy flavor but not the best storage garlic - stores 5-6 months.
Originally from Ontario, Canada. This is a hardneck variety in the porcelain family. 4-5 large cloves per bulb. While the outer wrappers are brilliant white, the cloves skins tend towards purple, though they can be white as well. An excellent all purpose garlic flavor. Hardy plant and good storing garlic.

Great garlic for basic cooking and has been awarded as a best roasting garlic. Sweet garlic flavor when cooked but without the heat of other varieties.
