Garlic Scapes

They're not just beautiful to look at,  garlic scapes are edible and delicious too. Farmers once composted these "flower stalks" along with their veggie scraps but we have since learned of its culinary wonders. This little delicacy is packed with a buttery garlic flavor and is a perfect substitute for a green onion. It can be eaten raw, fried, grilled, steamed and pickled... the possibilities are endless.

Garlic Scape Pesto

Perfect for adding to almost any dish, garlic scape pesto has become a major contributor to the food columns whether in the paper, magazines or internet blogs. It truly is as good as they say. Scape season doesn't last long - only a few weeks in June, but now you can enjoy it anytime of the year. We currently offer half pint jars.

Garlic Scape Powder

This powder is made from the beautiful, luscious, tender scapes that our hardneck varieties produce. We reserve a set amount of scapes every year to dehydrate and grind into powder. This powder is tinted green just like the stalk it came from and is packed full of garlic flavor. It is a perfect substitute for any recipe that calls for garlic powder! Or sprinkle it into olive oil and use as a dip for breads.
